What are the interesting facts about the fried chicken you should tell your kid?
Does your child love to eat fried chicken? If yes, then why not take their interest in this to the next level. In the same way, you should make your child aware of the interesting facts which revolve around fried chicken.
Fried Chicken: Let them know about the preparation
- The chicken wings are fried in corn oil, but not the whole part is fried as it is divided into constituent pieces. During commercial preparation, the ribs and back are discarded from the chicken.
- For the preparation of the chicken pieces, the coating is done with the flour & liquid & then the required amount of seasonings are added. It includes pepper, salt, paprika, cayenne pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, or ranch dressing & then everything is fixed with the flour.
- The chicken pieces are cooked and then all of them are settled in the marinade for around 3 hours before dipping them into the batter.
- After that, the toppings like fresh and dried parsley are dipped by using the fried oil. For this chicken type, olive oil is not considered the right choice as it has a low smoke point and it is extremely strong to make the traditional fried chicken. The techniques like deep frying, pan-frying, and broasting are used.

Pan Frying
Pan-frying is also known as shallow frying in which a pan is used and a fat source is not completely immersed in the chicken. The rest of the chicken pieces are then prepared and they will be fried. Ideally, the fat is heated at a temperature that is not enough to cover the chicken pieces from the chicken pieces which are outside. Ideally, it is suggested to keep turning the pieces till the time they are golden brown.
Deep frying
In the case of deep frying, there is a need for the deep fryer or another kind of device in which the chicken pieces are going to completely submerge in the hot fat. In this method, the food is completely placed in oil and then it is allowed to let it cook at a high temperature. The method of preparing the chicken is the same as mentioned in the above points.
Broasting
In the case of broasting, the pressure cooker is used to make the process go faster. From inside the chicken will be steamed and then the pressure inside the cooker will increase and then the cooking temperature will be lowered. Steaming also allowed the chicken to cook with perfection but it still gives it a moist and tender taste.
