Taking Hip-Hop Music Industry By Storm: An Interview With Upcoming Music Artist Yunng JAY

For our readers, please give us a brief introduction about yourself?

My name is Yunng JAY I’m from Orlando Florida. I’m a hip-hop artist. I’m out in Germany right now living it up. I’ve done a lot of good shows from stateside to overseas.

Can you tell us the story that brought you into this specific music career path?

Music has been around me all my life. Since I was a kid, I watched my older brother rap and make tracks with his friends. I decided to try it out and just continued to work on my craft.

If you could sum up your music in just 3 words, what would they be?

If I could sum up my music in three words Is probably say FIRE, DIFFERENT, BARBECUE. Only because when it’s played in the club people instantly ‘rock’ to it. Different because I have my own sound I don’t sound like anyone else. Barbecue because where I’m from people always say do you want to be barbecue or mildew like do you want to be great or trash rot away. I pick BARBECUE every time.

What advice can you give to emerging artists who are trying to break into the music industry?

For an emerging artist that is trying to come into the music industry just keep perfecting your craft. That’s what I try to do. You can always do better than the last no matter what anybody says. There’s gonna be a lot of haters but that just means you doing something.

Are there any current music projects you’re working on that you want to share with us?

I’m working on a couple of new projects. I have a couple of singles ready to drop just waiting on the right time. About to drop one and the music video for it during spring break so be on the lookout for that. Also new album in the fall.

What were the biggest challenges you have faced in your journey and how did you overcome them?

One of the biggest challenges you will face or I’ve faced really is just promoting. You can never have enough promotion but getting higher people to notice is part of that challenge you just gotta keep going no matter what and DO BETTER.

What do you see as your greatest success in life?

The greatest success is probably being able to travel all over Europe and back to the states performing and living my dream and passion up. I thank God every day for that because where I come from people rarely get out and pursue their dreams.
