Mohammad Haidar On His How Hardships Shaped Him, And How He Stays Motivated Even In Tough Times

Mohammad Haidar is a dynamic 24-year-old from the city of Bhopal. Just the way a diamond has to go through tremendous pressure and several blows to become hard and shiny, Haidar too has had his shares of pressure and hardships to become the man he is today.

We recently sat down to have a conversation with him, and Mohammad was kind enough to unveil many facets of his inspirational journey.

Q. To be where you are today, what was the journey like?

Mohammad: To reach this point, I have had to work very hard. Today I am a supervisor in the health department of the municipal corporation of Bhopal. Apart from that, I also do modelling and am a social media influencer. My determination and tendency to never give up on my dreams has enabled me to achieve all these laurels.

Q. What are some hardships that you have had to endure?

Mohammad: I don’t come from an affluent background, neither did I have big powerful connections. My father is an auto driver and his earning wasn’t enough to afford school fees for both me and my brother. To help out my father I worked as a newspaper boy before going to school and when the school used to get over for the day, I used to go and work at a restaurant.

I had this dream in those days, that I want to be a great cricketer. And in an effort to fulfil my dreams, I used to go to TT Nagar Stadium for cricket practice. It is sponsored by the government. It was a great outlet for me and playing cricket made me feel alive and kept me going.

When I used to come home at night, after taking my dinner I used to work as a salesman in Patrika News. With time I worked with many companies like Dainik Bhaskar, Rajexpress, and Airtel. Life back then wasn’t the easiest, but I never gave up. My struggles shaped me and today what I am is in front of you.

Q. Was there anyone you looked up to during all this?

Mohammad: My biggest inspiration is my parents. They have always supported me unconditionally. I also look up to Mr Faisu as my social media inspiration.

Q. You have obviously gone through a lot of hardships, how did you stay motivated and determined through everything?

Mohammad: Whenever I was encountered by some big problems, I would just close my eyes and pray to God, and God would give me the strength to face the problems.

Q: Any word of advice for youngsters?

Mohammad: Speaking from my own experience, I would advise the upcoming generation to stay focused on their goals and not get disheartened by difficulties. Nothing safe is worth the drive, don’t be afraid to take risks in life. If you have your sight set on success, you have to be fearless.

Q. You have already achieved remarkable success in your life. But you’re still young so, any plans for the future?

Mohammad: Of course I have plans for my future. I have always wanted to be a celebrated and respected figure. I would like to be someone who represents the country at an international level and brings honour to my motherland.

This is my only dream now, and I want to fulfil it. I want to set an example for kids who are going through the same hardships similar to the ones I went through. Kids can survive everything if they have hope, and I would not want anything more than bring the helping hand of hope to the ones in need.
