Knowledge Cee Interview

I had the pleasure of interviewing Knowledge Cee. He started his website www.knowledgecee.com with the intentions of offering technology services for individuals but with the focus of working with the entertainment industry. Knowledge’s company offers services like Youtube interviews, Hardware troubleshooting, web design, graphic design, photography, album covers and much more in one place.

Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

I always was into technology and making videos. Since the age of 12, I began to troubleshoot computers, edit videos, pictures and breaking into things I was not supposed to online. That lead to my making of Youtube videos and going to college for Network Security with the goal of starting my own company.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started your company?

The most interesting story that happened to me  since I began leading my company is that I got a gig with www.recoverysolutionsnj.org to record videos on people who suffered from substance abuse. It was a paid gig that lasted three days. It was a great experience to hear different people’s experiences . On September 17th, I got to meet people who seen my videos in Atlantic City at the 2018 Recovery Month Summit by Recovery Solutions. After my gigs, I would walk around Atlantic City like a tourist while I waited on my Greyhound. I explored a place I had never been and got paid to do what I love.

Can you share a story about the funniest mistake you made when you were first starting? Can you tell us what lesson you learned from that?

When I first started my company, I was dropshipping products from China. My seller was from Amazon and I was selling on Ebay. The toy I was dropshipping was one of the best selling  toys of 2017. I advertised the product on Ebay and made over $1700 in three days so as a normal person I made the purchases on Amazon to ship to my clients. The sellers were all a scam so I got scammed as well as all of my customers. Now I do not have an Ebay account.
I learned that you must research the company that you want to dropship from. Make sure they are reliable and have excellent communication. If not, it is not worth the risk.

What do you think makes your company stand out? Can you share a story?

My website is a good place to go to if you are ready to start a company. We provide advertisements, graphic design, website development and remote technology services. My prices are below most contractors or retail  prices and I am even willing to lower my price to match your price range. There was many times when people did not have enough to book myself but I let them slide because I remember when I did not have enough money to pay for services.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

You must always know your limit. Do not overwork yourself because that is the fastest way to get lazy. Always take a day off during the week to rest fully and always get a good rest every night. Manage your task in priority order.

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story?

I would like to thank Mallah Divine Mallah. He is the reason I get most of my contracted jobs now and the reason I got hired by the Department of Education. Mallah came into my life and helped myself develop character by telling stories of his life.
It all started my last semester of my Associate degree. Mallah and I were acquainted with each other because we sat in the same row in a computer class. He seen that I knew my stuff with computers, cameras and other topics which we can relate too. One day we hung out after class and spoke on our values and the reasons why we do things. After that, we began to work on computer projects together, share information and then started to build our credibility together. We struggled together and now we are eating together.

How have you used your success to bring goodness to the world?

I provide free services for people who I have faith in. If I see that you are motivated doing what you are doing in order to help the world, I would help you. All you have to do is ask.

Do you have a favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share a story of how that was relevant to you in your life?

“It takes money to make money”. In order to build my website it took money. In order to buy a camera it took money. In order to get Sony Vegas and Adobe Creative Suite it took money. Everything took money even to get website traffic.

What are your “5 things I wish someone told me before I started my company” and why. Please share a story or example for each.

If you are selling a product make sure your supplier is not scamming you
I sold over $1,700 worth of goods online but my supplier scammed me so I lost good credibility and profit.
2) when creating a website try to have words that match what you do in the domain because it increases your chance of ranking higher on Google.com
Example: if your website is about cats your website and would be catsworld.com

3) Even when you are working for yourself you are working for someone. The person you are working for is your client that you want to please so they come back and refer others to you.

4)” You have to be ready for the tough times ahead and know that failure will always be the easy way out. There are no shortcuts to success and you have to work harder and put in more sweat equity than you ever could imagine to make the venture you are embarking on a success. “ – @themarshan1
5) “It is not as hard as people make it seem to be your own boss and move away from the employee title. As long as you put your best foot forward and always remember to be gracious and positive good thing with only come.
OUT OF 100 NO’S THERE WILL BE 1 YES AND ALL YOU NEED IS ONE.” – @Kha.Rin

You are a person of great influence. If you could start a movement  that would bring the most amount of good to the most amount of people, what would that be? You never know what your idea can trigger. 🙂

Gathering people together who lived in New York for 10+ years to sign a petition protecting from landlords who are rapidly increasing the rent, trying to evict people for less than $1000, landlords who are paying tenants to move, slumlords, and to increase the amount of affordable housing in New York.
