Joey Panetta; The story behind the immigrant entrepreneur.

Joey Panetta is a 20-year-old immigrant entrepreneur on the rise. He is living the laptop lifestyle and has what many people only dream of. An online income. He does Shopify dropshipping and builds micro brands from the ground up using his online skills such as website development, social media management, facebook ad marketing & more.

Joey’s background story

Joey is a 20-year old entrepreneur from Hamptons, NY. He attended Hampton Bays Highschool and then went onto pursue a Business Administration Degree at Suffolk Community College. During college, he realized that the 9-5 life wasn’t going to cut it for him. He then went the unconventional route and decided to start his own business.

I asked this young entrepreneur a few questions, here’s how he answered.

What is it exactly you do?

I do Shopify dropshipping. I build micro brands from the ground up using skills such as website development, social media management, and internet marketing.

What are some struggles you went through to get to where you are now?

My biggest struggle that I encountered on my initial journey to becoming an entrepreneur had to be shifting my mindset. It’s very easy to go out and try to start a business nowadays. What’s harder is being able to overcome the struggles that come with it. I knew this wasn’t going to happen overnight and I’m nowhere near my goal but as long as you have built the right mindset going into it then it’s just a matter of when.

How did you overcome these struggles?

I overcame these struggles by just not giving up and keeping my goals in mind. I think the thing that differentiates me between many others in the same industry is me is my, “why” when things turn south real quick and believe me they will, you gotta ask yourself “why did I start in the first place?” I’ve learned from 7,8,9 figure world-class entrepreneurs that if you base your “why?” On yourself or just monetary goals then you won’t perform at the level needed to succeed. Your “why?” Has to be bigger than you.

Best tips for someone looking to start their entrepreneurial journey?

My tip for someone looking to start their entrepreneurial journey would be to choose a business model that they are interested in and become an expert at that one thing. A lot of the time us, as entrepreneurs like to multitask and do many things at once but I think It’s very important to realize that It could be counterproductive at times. Lebron James didn’t become Lebron James by playing basketball during the week & golfing on the weekends. I think we should all focus our attention on one thing and become an expert.

What is it you’re currently working on?

I’m currently working on building a brand I started 4 weeks ago to 6 figures by the end of 2019.

What are your future plans?

My plan is not to be known as the “Dropshipper guru” my goal is to utilize this modern-day business model as a vehicle to show low income, immigrant kids that being able to be your own boss has never been more achievable than today. I plan on sharing my story and success to others and impact many around the world. I feel like I must pass the torch forward and be able to share my story and experiences.

Joey is on track to be one of the next top entrepreneurs as he is running a successful Shopify store at only 20 years old! To follow Joey Panetta’s journey you can follow him on Instagram HERE.
