In Today’s Situation, Abhishek Agrawal Urges us to Consider this Unique Opportunity
‘In this shared global atmosphere of compulsory isolation, it’s easy to fall into unhealthy patterns and vicious cycles.’ he says. But several individuals around the globe, like himself, have expressed that this unique phase the world is going through might be for many of us, an incredible opportunity.
The London-based Indian model has been inspiring his followers throughout his social media channels with a solid message: we might never again have such a direct opportunity to work on ourselves quite like we do now.
“For those of us lucky enough to be able to continue working from home, we cannot miss out on this opportunity.” says the influencer, “During these past few weeks, I’ve learned how to cook new meals for myself, I’ve taught myself video-editing through Adobe Premiere, and I’ve picked up my guitar again, after years of not playing.”
With the possibilities technology has given us, learning new skills has never before been so inexpensive and accessible. With platforms like Udemy, communities like Duolingo, and apps like Asana Rebel, anyone with a smartphone can access cheap or even free education. It is no surprise then that many others like Abhishek believe this to be a unique opportunity for growth.
According to a recent study conducted by Lottoland, 3 in every 5 British adults plan on self-improving and becoming “super-humans” during the lockdown. A third of the survey respondents say they will exercise everyday, while a whopping 25% plan on being fluent in a new language by the time quarantine is over. Some other goals listed in the survey include learning how to garden, taking up yoga, and researching family history.Abhishek shares this philosophy, and he adds that during lockdown he’s been reading more books, catching up on the latest Netflix shows, and following a strict bodyweight training program.
“The key is making a schedule” he says, “Listing everything you wish to accomplish that day, so that you can look back at the end of the week and see how much you actually got done in those last few days. That’s how you build habits, and habits are what then build a lifestyle.”The model has been keeping busy indeed. During his time in isolation, not only has he been cooking, reading, and exercising more – he has put together a new brand and Youtube channel called ‘Everything Manful’ for his followers to be able to do the same.
“Everything Manful is for every man that wants to become a better version of himself. It will cover a wide variety of topics, from fitness to style, from motivation to technology. I want to build a community of people that want to grow and make the best use of their time every day.”
Abhishek adds that he will be sharing practical advice, as well as tools and more casual vlog-style videos, to achieve a balance of content that is educational, but also entertaining and inspiring!
