How Music Moguls Jermaine Carter And Gary Martinis Are Creating Waves In Music Industry
For our readers, please give us a brief introduction about yourself?
Thanks for having me here.
I am Gary Martinis, and I am a successful entrepreneur and music label owner. I have owned numerous businesses and was also involved in a movie production called cannon street films. I have also written multiple screenplays. Which started me in the direction of writing hooks for songs.
Jermaine is a hip hop producer and rapper. As a young man who was caught up in a whirlwind of financial struggles, drugs, and crime culminating in the tragic death of his brother K.O. which became his driven passion in the music industry to make his brother proud.
Can you tell us the story that brought you into this specific music career path?
Jermaine and I were introduced to each other by a videographer back in 2010. We hit it off from the start. We decided to form a record label called SR The Label also known as Spittin Rhymes Records. It was a natural merging of the minds. Jermaine provided beats and local talent and I came up with song concepts, hooks, and packaged them.
Can you give us a little introduction to your music label, Spittin Rhymes Records?
Spittin Rhymes Records or SR The Label was born from the desire to nurture local talent and provide original hip hop/pop beats to compete with what’s going on in the hip hop community.
None of us are able to achieve success without some really kind people helping along the way. Is there a particular person who helped get you to where you are today?
I think I become Jermaine’s biggest supporter because of the struggle and pain he was going through with the loss of his brother. but, through everything his creativity still shined through and I realized we had something to show the world in terms of fresh innovated cutting edge music.
If you could sum up your music in just 3 words, what would they be?
Fresh, Energetic, Fierce.
What advice can you give to emerging artists who are trying to break into the music business?
Be your biggest fan and keep promoting yourself until people tell you to shut up and then keep promoting
