Bihari artists has always enhanced the value of our state: Governor Ganga Prasad

When the eminent personalities who made outstanding contributions in the field of art and culture for Bihar were honored in the Kalidas Rangalaya at Patna, For a moment it seemed like that there is no end to the art and artists in Bihar. The occasion was the “Virasat” program organized by Shivalaja Mahila Vikas Sansthan and IWC Shivalaja in which Bihari artists who contributed their valuable contribution in various fields of art were honored.  Shri Ganga Prasad (Honourable Governor, Sikkim) was present as Chief Guest and Shri Ramkripal Yadav (MP, Pataliputra), Shri Nandkishore Yadav (MLA, Patna Sahib), Mr. Abdul Bari Siddiqui (Former Minister) and Mr. Rajeev Sinha (Deputy Director  cum Head Doordarshan Kendra, Patna) were present as special guests. While other special guests included Dr. Neena Kumar, Sarita Prasad and Sweta Singh.  The program commenced with the national anthem, After that the honourable Governor and other incoming guests were honored by members of the Institute by giving them saplings, corsets and mementoes.  After that, the program was duly inaugurated by the Chief Guest Hon’ble Governor and other guests by lighting candles.  Later, Nupur Prasad, who came for the welcome address, thanked the guests and the honored artists for coming to the program and said that it is a proud moment for us to honor these artists by our institute.  Shivalaja Mahila Vikas Sansthan has always been trying to take women and children towards development through education and skill development for the last 20 years and currently we are working closely with the Inner Wheel International Women’s Association.  She also informed that from March the institution is going to open cottage industries and boutiques for women and we will also work to train and promote new artists under Gunjan Movies.  At the same time, in his address, His the hon’ble Governor Shri Ganga Prasad said that “I have always seen every program of this institute being run with a positive purpose, but by joining today’s program I am very happy that the institution which is dedicated to social service has also put its vision towards art and literature, which brings culture and civilization alive.  And at the same time they have taken a good initiative to bring out the personalities who have contributed significantly in this field.  Honoring influencers who have emerged on the art and cultural horizons of Bihar on one platform, will indeed be a step to advance the art and artists of Bihar.  The passion of these artists has always raised the value of Bihar on the national and international stage.  I convey my best wishes to all respected artists and hope that in future also they will take Bihar forward in the field of art and literature.
