An Exclusive Interview with Actor Bahadır Ünlü

Building a stellar reputation as a notable movie star is no easy task. Finding success as an actor is a long, arduous path, where many do not succeed. Still, some persevere and surmount impossible odds to realize their dreams and make a name for themselves. Turkish actor Bahadir Ünlü started from humble beginnings and is now a leading actor in the middle east and beyond. In this interview, Bahadir talks about his journey, career, and prospects.
Bahadir, could you more about how you began your career and became a leading actor?
I started my career with no support what so ever. I have faced a lot of challenges in the beginning. There were times when I felt like giving up, but I kept going. It is essential to value every opportunity that crosses your path. You never know where it may lead you. I stayed positive and continued working in advertisements, commercials, and small budget movies. I got my break in 2003, in a movie called “Aquarium,” which was a joint project between Iran and Turkey. From that point on, there was no looking back. Over the years, I’ve worked in several Turkish, English, and German movies as well as TV series. People must remember that there is no shortcut to success. If you stay focused and chase your dreams, you will indeed achieve the same.
What made you want to become an actor?
Acting has always been my passion. I grew up in awe of the power that entertainment possessed. I wanted to be an actor because it is an art-form that enables you to touch millions of lives. I wanted to spread positivity, hope, and humor through being an actor. I wanted to live a life froth with adventure. Acting served as a conduit for me to explore new countries, meet new people, experience new cultures, and expand my horizons. Today, I have achieved my childhood dream, and I am grateful to my fans for their love and support. I am receiving appreciation for my art as an actor, which is the highest form of gratification.
Bahadir, what are your plans for the future
I have had a long and fulfilling career thus far. I wish to push my limits as an actor and director. There are several international projects in the pipeline, and I am looking forward to them the most. It will allow me to explore new roles, opportunities, and a chance to connect with a whole new audience. I firmly believe that there is always room to learn, improve, and grow, and so this will continue to be my driving force in the future.
