Press Release

Prince Jass is back with 20 20 Saal after YouTube Controversy!

Punjabi Music has seen a rise with back to back bangers and lyrical craftsmen at their job always. There is an unique set of artists that originally belong to the deep roots of Punjab, but they’ve hustled to build a lifestyle and earn their living overseas. The likes of Deep Jandu, Sidhu Moosewala etc. are the prime examples.
Amongst the vast pool of talent and controversy, Prince Jass is the latest buzz in the industry.
Not having a background in music or films, only with his quest to prove his mettle as a producer and with his passion for doing something for the industry, Jass dived in the Punjabi Music industry recently.

He also aims to take ahead the many talented artists of Punjab to make them gain a name for themselves that they truly deserve. It was in the year 2014; he joined the industry with the vision to raise the standard of music of the Punjabi industry. Speaking of his upcoming projects, he is planning to produce several music albums this year and is also on the works to produce a special project with his production. Checking his Instagram would let people know how consistent and creative he is in posting new stuff and the new projects that he produces. To check out more about him, follow him on his handle which is included at the bottom of the article.

He blew up after his first single was a super hit released on Jass Records. He paved his way through the industry since then and off late, after he dropped his latest single ’20 20 Saal’ and managed to get 100,000 + Views within 3 Days, the song was deleted off YouTube without any explanation. Generally, YouTube is good with their policies and other techy stuff and also their support system is up to the mark when it comes to content management. This is believed to be either a hacker’s deed or an inside job. When asked the hit maker said ‘ We were going strong and then got hit by the news. The team was disappointed but the song is back up now and we’re stronger than ever ‘

Prince Jass is a true blue Punjabi by heart. His courage has allowed him to get back up and work towards his empire, called ‘Refugee Records’. The record label aims to set a bar in Punjab with Punjabi Music from all around the world. It is headlined by the man himself. The word Refugee has a vast history. For the rest of India, the Partition of India in 1947 is an abstract event fuelled by hate and kept alive for votes. But for those from Punjab and Bengal, it remains a lived reality.

During Partition, Punjab lost more than half and Bengal three-fifths of its land. One million people died and 14 million were displaced. Many of these migrant refugees found their way into India beyond eastern Punjab and West Bengal. In many ways, this migration is why Punjabi food, clothes, music, and even cultural events have spread not only in the subcontinent but even beyond the borders of the nation-state. Prince currently owns and manages the record label all by himself and it is headquartered in Dubai as of now. His music has a Hip Hop influence too, references to the latest diss culture.Released in 1996, Shakur’s ‘Hit ‘Em Up’ was loaded with vicious insults of rival East-Coast rappers.

That song came to be known as one of the greatest ‘diss tracks’ ever recorded in America’s music history. The word ‘diss’ is an abbreviation from disrespect. It typifies feud between rivals in music and art.

Amidst all the drama, the response to their first single is amazing which is about to hit 50,000 Views in less than 24 Hours.
